Jack: Hello my name is Jack Dau. I'm from Sparta, New Jersey and I just turned 15. When I was first diagnosed with epilepsy, I did not know how to explain it to my friends because I couldn't understand it myself and I thought this comic book could be a much better way to explain it. When I was first chosen to be a Medikidz star, I didn't know what to expect. It was really cool to see myself as a cartoon character. All I had to do to make my story into the comic book was meet with the Medikidz team, tell my story and they would use that information to make it into the comic book and hopefully help alot of kids. It was really cool how Medikidz included my personality, and my friends playing one of my favorite sports. It was really about me and who I am. The Medikidz comic book led me to alot of places that I wouldn't even think of, like being interviewed by newspapers, and interviewed for TV, which was something that blew my mind away. I think it's a great idea that making a comic book allows another kid share his story with the world.

If you have a good story and you're from age 13 to 18 with parent or guardian permission you can submit a two minute video and maybe you've got what it takes to be the next Medikidz star.
