Schizophrenia is a chronic mental condition that affects how someone thinks, acts, and behaves. When the disease is active, symptoms include hallucinations, delusions, and difficulty thinking, all of which can be very disabling. Although there is no cure for schizophrenia, treatment can help reduce the symptoms and the risk of relapse.
