A migraine is a condition characterized by recurrent headache episodes. It usually starts in early adulthood and is more common in females. The headaches can be moderate or severe, usually located on one side, and throbbing in nature. They can be associated with extreme sensitivity to light and sound as well as nausea and vomiting.
