Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

Definition

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) are a group of rare inherited conditions that affect the connective tissue supporting skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, organs, and bones. EDS typically cause joint hypermobility and skin that is highly stretchy and fragile. The more severe vascular form affects blood vessels and body organs.
